Justice Department Lawyer To Congress: ‘The President Is Always Right’
The Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday heard testimony from Steven Bradbury, head of the Justice Department’s office of legal counsel. When questioned by Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) on whether the President’s interpretation of the Hamdan case was right or wrong, Bradbury replied, “The President is always right.”
Really, Bush is always right?!
Then explain this:
Bush: 'Bring 'em on' was big mistake
US President George W. Bush admitted...that his bellicose "bring 'em on" taunt to Iraqi insurgents was a big mistake.
Bush himself, goes on to add,
...that remark was "kind of tough talk, you know, that sent the wrong message to people."
"I learned some lessons about expressing myself maybe in a little more sophisticated manner, you know. "Wanted, dead or alive"; that kind of talk. I think in certain parts of the world it was misinterpreted," he said.
He also cited the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal as "the biggest mistake that's happened so far, at least from our country's involvement in Iraq ... We've been paying for that for a long period of time," he said (emphasis added)
OR, how about this little nugget:
"It is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong,” Bush said
I guess “his majesty “ does make mistakes and is NOT always right, after all.
Somebody nedd to let Mr. Bradbury know that, yes, his boss' shi*t does stink, as well as Bradbury's nose; from being to far up bush's behind!
